Support for growing minds

Children’s hypnotherapy · Face-to-face in Greater Manchester

When everyday worries feel big, it can be hard to know how to help your child. Explore a supportive approach focused on feeling calmer, building confidence and taking positive steps forward.

What is your child finding difficult?

Everyday stress & anxious feelings
Space to slow down and explore calmer ways of responding to everyday worries.

Confidence & self-esteem
Support focused on self-belief, recognising strengths and feeling more comfortable being themselves.

School & exam nerves
A chance to practise relaxation and mentally prepare for situations that feel daunting.

Relaxation & restful sleep
Explore ways to unwind when a busy mind makes switching off difficult.

Small steps towards positive change

Hypnotherapy uses focused attention, relaxation and guided suggestions. Sessions can explore helpful ways of thinking and responding, with the aim of supporting your child’s confidence and emotional wellbeing. Your child can ask questions, decline or stop. Participation is always voluntary, and results vary.

What does NHS guidance say?

The NHS describes hypnotherapy as a complementary therapy and says it may be offered for certain conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome when other treatment has not worked. This is condition-specific guidance, rather than a general NHS endorsement of hypnotherapy for children’s worries or confidence, or of this private service.

Hypnotherapy complements medical and mental health care. Persistent, severe or worsening difficulties should be discussed with your child’s GP or existing care team.
